We are looking for Residential Support Workers to work in our Children's Homes in Leicestershire, Derbyshire Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
About the Role:
You will be a member of a responsible team in charge of the day-to-day care of young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties within a Children's home.
You would be expected to act as a positive role model in ensuring their physical, social and emotional needs are being met whilst being flexible, dynamic and engaged in supporting the young people in our care.
You will be expected to proactively encourage young people to participate in a variety of opportunities that are healthy, meaningful, give them a sense of achievement, and that help build their self-esteem.
You will actively contribute to care plans, share in report writing and monitoring and participate in housekeeping duties. You will also work directly with families, social workers and other relevant people where appropriate.
You will be expected to work in line with the companies' policies and procedures, and The Children's Homes Regulations and maintain high professional standards at all times.
We operate on a shift basis and include work on weekends and bank holidays, the shifts are 1 day on and 2 days off, working from 8am to 10pm, some shifts will include sleep in duties.
Immediate start subject to satisfactory References and DBS check.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is caring, committed, friendly and mature in outlook.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and adapt to quickly changing circumstances.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the resilience to manage challenging behaviour.
You will need a full UK driving licence and be a minimum of 21 years old.
You will either already have or be willing to undertake a QCF Level Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
