Qualified Salary:

15.00 per hour (Equivalent to 28,800) + 45.00 per sleep allowance

Unqualified Salary:

13.00 per hour (Equivalent to 24,960) + 45.00 per sleep allowance - Hourly pay increase after completion of Qualification

Contract Type:

Full-time / Permanent

Hours:

160 hours per month including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins - occasional waking night may be required.

Qualified we are looking for Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, experienced (minimum 2 years), and driven by purpose.

Your Role:



As a

Residential Support Worker

, you'll be at the heart of daily life for the young people in our home. No two days are the same but every day, your role will matter. You'll provide consistent, nurturing care and help to

stabilise, empower, and inspire

children and young people who have experienced trauma, loss, or disruption in their lives.

Your responsibilities will include:



Building trusting relationships

with children and young people through patience, empathy, and genuine care

Supporting the day-to-day routines

of the home including meal preparation, school runs, house activities, and being available to our children.

Implementing personalised care plans

and contributing to regular reviews, ensuring young people's voices are central to all decisions

Encouraging healthy emotional expression

and helping young people develop coping strategies and resilience

Safeguarding and Protecting

: Always upholding safeguarding procedures, identifying and reporting concerns appropriately

Creating positive behaviour support plans

using restorative and therapeutic approaches to manage risk, boundaries, and emotional regulation

Working closely with external professionals and families

including social workers, therapists, and education providers to ensure holistic support

Recording and reporting accurately

: Maintaining high standards of documentation

Key working responsibilities

for one young person, developing strong, meaningful attachments and being their consistent advocate

Promoting independence and life skills

, including budgeting, hygiene, cooking, and preparing for adulthood

Participating in regular team meetings

, reflective supervision and contributing to a supportive team culture

Taking part in activities and experiences

that bring joy, promote engagement, and build self-confidence from cinema trips and breaks away to outdoor adventures and life-skills learning
This is an emotionally demanding but deeply

What We're Looking For:



Qualified



Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Experienced:

At least 2 years working with children, young people and their families in a care or support setting

Qualified and Unqualified



Skilled Communicator:

Able to engage effectively and work collaboratively with young people, families, and multi-agency professionals

IT Proficient:

Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to write and edit reports, care plans and professional communications

Approachable & Professional:

Emotionally intelligent, consistent, and values-driven

Full Driving Licence is required:

Transporting young people, to and from education, activities, hobbies and independent time is required.

Annual Leave:

240 hours - Equivalent of 30 days inclusive of bank holidays, with 1 day increase biennial to a maximum of 36 days.
