to lead the dual management of two specialist children's homes, located within one mile of each other.
One home will provide bespoke 1:1 care for two young people.
The second home will offer a solo placement tailored to an individual child's needs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a proactive and therapeutic approach, and the ability to drive a culture of high-quality care, ensuring that young people feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and inspire staff teams across both homes, creating a nurturing and positive environment.
Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans aligned to each child's needs, goals, and aspirations.
Ensure that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.
Maintain effective communication with young people, families, social workers, and external partners.
Promote the emotional wellbeing, independence, and development of every young person.
Conduct regular assessments and reviews of individual care plans and risk assessments.
Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and quality assurance.
Monitor and uphold standards in line with Ofsted regulations, aiming for consistently Good or Outstanding ratings.
Provide ongoing staff training, supervision, performance management, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
Proven leadership experience within a residential childcare or similar setting.
Strong working knowledge of children's safeguarding procedures, care standards, and Ofsted regulations.
Experience working with children and young people with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
Ability to multi-task and manage the demands of dual homes effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to therapeutic, child-centred practice.
