The company:
G&P Healthcare Ltd is a CQC registered nurse-led, double award winning, Home Healthcare company and we specialise in providing holistic, person centred care within children's own homes. We provide care for adults and children with all care needs including complex health conditions and are rated by CQC as "Outstanding".
The children:
We care for multiple children with complex medical conditions within Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Castle Donnington, Derby and Derbyshire. We provide care during the daytime or nighttime at home, or at school depending on the client. We do not do short calls; you will spend long hours with the client and will get to know them and their family well.
Our children have specific medical and educational needs and therefore require confident, friendly and caring staff to look after them.
The role:
We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to provide a high standard of complex care and to support our children and their families.
You will be supporting a young child with their personal care needs, moving and handling, and any clinical interventions such as oral suctioning, PEG feeding and oxygen administration.
Your role may involve monitoring the child during the nighttime so their families can rest, caring for them in the daytime, or assisting the child at school depending on the client and your availability.
We have a range of shift patterns and hours available.
Essential experience required:
12 months care experience
Ideally have previous experience of working with children and/or young adults with complex health needs
Driving license and own vehicle
Desirable but not essential experience:
Suctioning
Oxygen Administration
Chest Management
Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
Moving and Handling
Medication Administration
Long term ventilation
Tracheostomy care
Seizure management
Full training will be provided in all clinical skills needed to provide exemplary care to our children. You will have full support from our trained nurses to gain the skills and knowledge you will need. You will also complete shadowing shifts with our trained staff whilst getting to know the clients and their families until you are ready to work alone. Additionally, we have a 24/7 on-call service and very approachable office staff for extra support.

Pay: From 12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
