We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Childcare Support Worker/Practitioner

to join our team, providing exceptional care for children aged 4-12 years. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about child development and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Child Safety and Wellbeing

: Ensure a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.

Activity Planning

: Develop and implement a diverse range of play, learning, and leisure activities that cater to the individual needs of each child.

Collaboration

: Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the holistic development of the children.

Daily Routine Management

: Organise and manage daily routines to meet the needs of the children effectively.

Personal Attributes

: Creative, enthusiastic, cheerful, reliable, responsible, and assertive.

Skills

: Excellent organisational skills, strong time management, well-presented, friendly, approachable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Commitment to Development

: Enthusiastic about working with children and committed to personal and professional development through ongoing training.

Qualifications

: A qualification in childcare at Level 7 or above is required.

Regulatory Requirements

: Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme are mandatory. St Ninian's Kids Club will cover the cost of PVG membership if you are successful.
Working Hours:

Term Time Only

: Monday to Thursday: 2:40 PM to 5:30 PM Friday: 11:45 AM to 5:30 PM

Holidays

: 5.6 weeks per year
Contract Details:

Duration

: Initial trial period of three months, leading to permanent for the right candidate.
