About the Role
This is a part-time role for a qualified Level 2/3 Childcare Practitioner to manage a wrap-around club within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Work as a professional advocate representing Premier Education, showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment that supports children's all-round development and high standards of care.
Deliver exemplary levels of practice at all times, in line with Premier's operational standards.
Be a reliable, loyal, and dedicated team member who works with integrity and flexibility, contributing to the development and strengthening of the team environment.
Uphold and carry out your duties with due regard to Premier's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy.
Cooperate in the implementation of the health and safety policy and ensure practice and environment meet health and safety standards, completing daily risk assessments as needed.
Be familiar with all emergency, lockdown, and security procedures, including fire drills and drop-off/pick-up routines.
Respect and maintain confidentiality of all information received. Breach of this information may result in immediate termination of your contract.
Child Development & Learning
Understand each child's entry point, development stage, and individual learning needs, and use this knowledge to support and enhance their learning potential.
Observe children's progress and report achievements to families, identifying progression and continuity. Seek external support when necessary.
Work within the EYFS principles and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework in practice with children.
Monitor, assess, record, and report on the development and progress of your key children.
Take an active role in the key person approach--supporting a group of mixed-age children, ensuring they are healthy, safeguarded, and progressing in line with developmental milestones.
Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising them as their children's first educators and encouraging their involvement.
Safeguarding & Welfare
Ensure excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding duties, including the responsibility to protect all children, families, and extended service users in your care.
Understand responsibilities under the Prevent Duty and the Anti-terrorism & Security Act 2015 to prevent children from being drawn into terrorism.
Ensure close monitoring of children for any concerns, and know the Designated Safeguarding Lead you must report to.
Strictly follow Premier Education's behaviour management policies, promoting positive behaviour at all times.
Daily Care & Environment
Assist with supervision of children during child-led experiences (indoor and outdoor), as well as at mealtimes, ensuring their health, safety, and welfare at all times.
Ensure general cleanliness of children, resources, and environment to prevent the spread of infection and cross-contamination.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in areas such as nappy changing (if appropriate), toilet areas, and food service zones.
Support a free-flow, self-service snack system where children can help themselves to healthy snacks and drinks.
Planning & Activities
Set up and deliver a range of inclusive indoor and outdoor activities that align with Premier Education's timetable of specialist sports and elements of the EYFS.
Deliver the highest quality of operational standards in line with your teaching methods and the delivery of the sports curriculum.
Teamwork & Communication
Build and sustain effective professional relationships with parents, carers, and families on behalf of Premier Education.
Work collaboratively and professionally with all Premier Education employees to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery.
Attend training programs and staff/parent meetings as required by Premier Education.
