Childminder's Assistant
We need to cover four full days between Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm. We would also consider two full days with two positions. Energetic person needed to assist in friendly childminder's setting helping babies and young children learn through play while looking after their needs and supervising them to keep them safe.
A can-do, happy attitude will help you to make a real difference to the children's learning. Alongside another assistant, you'll be helping the children with activities, indoors and outdoors eg. doing art, circle time, reading books, playing board games, talking to the children, making sandcastles, making obstacle courses, building tents and towers, thinking up ideas to follow the children's interests. You would also help the children at dinner-times and help to clear away. You'll need common sense as you may be in charge of up to three children indoors, in the garden or on outings to farms and parks. The successful candidate would need to complete a DBS check, Ofsted clearance, first aid course and be prepared to undertake other one-day training courses such as safeguarding.
