Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development through various activities.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their verbal skills and fostering a positive atmosphere. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime, ensuring that each child's needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare environment to provide a welcoming space for children. Work alongside parents or guardians to discuss children's progress and any concerns regarding their development.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks while ensuring children's needs are prioritised. A nurturing attitude with the ability to manage children's behaviour positively and constructively.
We have positions available in our North and East Belfast branches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.57-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
