We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Young Persons Support Workers to join our team, working with a client based in Cardiff Central. In this role, you will provide essential support to Young People, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

You will work closely with families and other professionals to implement care plans tailored to each service users needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist Young People with daily activities in a residential setting, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
Implement individual care plans in collaboration with families and other healthcare professionals either on site or Head Office.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to service users, helping them build confidence and help their character.
Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring timely arrival.
Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during your shifts.
Communicate regularly with families regarding the service users progress and any concerns.
Utilize IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare.
Requirements
6 months plus UK care experience. Working with Children & Young People is key for this role, though similar placement backgrounds will be looked at.
Valid DBS on update service (Children & Adult), though we can provide this independently at cost to candidate.
Right to Work in UK in place, and residing in the South Wales area. Please do not apply if you live overseas.
A valid full UK Driving License (manual) is essential. Please no non drivers or foreign license applications as we cannot use these.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with young people, families, and colleagues.
Familiarity with implementing care plans is advantageous. The understanding and following of care plans at all times is crucial.
A genuine passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
Ability to work flexibly, adapting to the varying needs of the young person you support.
