There is now the opportunity to join the Trust as Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO is a pivotal Board role, providing vision, professional leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of the Trust\'s aims and improvements in quality, efficiency and effectiveness. The COO is a voting Board member and is accountable for the day-to-day operational management and service delivery of care to patients, and holds the clinical divisions to account for their performance against national and local standards. The COO is responsible for development and sustainability of clinical services, including the development of underpinning strategies and is the lead Chief Officer for improving access for patients - ensuring the Trust meets and exceeds all national and local standards.
The successful candidate will bring experience at Board level in an acute environment, with demonstrable track record of operational achievement and clinical transformation and the ability to lead and embed transformational change. The successful candidate will bring strong delivery and execution orientation, the ability to develop effective working relationships with key partners and influence a wide range of internal and external colleagues to bring about positive change, and the credibility and confidence to contribute within a vibrant and diverse academic and professional environment.
