CK Science are recruiting for a Chemical Waste Technician to join a chemical manufacturing company based in Derbyshire on a 3 month contract.

The Company:
Our client is leading manufacturer of advanced chemicals supplying to many companies worldwide. This would be an ideal role for a chemistry graduate, an A-Level student or a chemist looking for a new opportunity. However, all those with suitable experience will be considered.

Your main duties will be:

• Reviewing & Identifying SDS information from historic products procured
• Sampling Waste Products for formal identification of Waste Material by Chemical Category
• Organise Incoming Waste Retains into Chemical Groups & Consolidate for Outbound Shipment as a Waste Consignment
• Ensure Safe Systems of work, housekeeping and practices are in place during handling & movement of waste within the site
• Administration activities to compile Waste Consignment Records for off site Disposal

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Candidate must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel / Word / Teams / Outlook as the work activities for the role requires data entry / analysis
• High level of attention to detail when evaluating information to ensure accuracy is achieved.
• Preferred experience working in a laboratory environment or Industrial Chemical Environment
• Able to organise work to enable key deadlines and targets to be achieved is essential for this role to complete the defined project
• Ability to work independently & outstanding attention to detail
