Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/cook to join our well established hard working team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and , with a focus on food preparation and meal presentation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and safety while ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations. Help develop new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer feedback.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary requirements. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
