Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff in the production of high-quality dishes.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials that reflect current culinary trends. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Assist in creating an inviting atmosphere for guests by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak dining hours.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for guests. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 12.50 per hour
