Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in menu planning and development, providing input based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
