JOB SUMMARY





The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.



As a chef trainee within Rudding Park you will be given full training across all areas of the kitchen and work across the three main kitchens within the resort. Clocktower Brasserie, Meetings and Events, Horto. This will enable you to gain experience doing different food styles and services and to build on your cooking skills, knowledge and professionalism over a structured 12 month programme.



During your year you will also go on supplier site visits.



You will be working with a strong motivated kitchen team of experienced and passionate Chefs who promote collaboration and diligence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




Preparation of dishes using the best fresh & local produce Supporting the team working all sections as required Taking pride in being responsible for helping to deliver high-quality food for our guests Working across all kitchens within the Rudding Park estate, helping you get an understanding of the whole business Working well in a busy kitchen and thrive under pressure Team player and who can respectfully communicate to the team Have a desire to aim for high standards Be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work Deal with deliveries and stock rotation Maintain kitchen hygiene standard at all times Following all health & safety / COSHH protocol

GENERAL




Be responsible for Health and Safety as an individual and also to work colleagues, guests and the business, reporting concerns through the Health and Safety processes and procedures. Ensure continuous professional development of self, including attending required training courses and seeking means of developing within the business Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and guest care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable Respect colleagues and the working environment at all times. Ensure high standard of dress and self-presentation within the working environment Undertake any other duties commensurate within the position for which you are qualified.
