Our award-winning gastro pub, with two AA Rosettes is looking for a chef de partie to join our expanding team.

We are looking for candidates who are reliable, work well under pressure and are passionate about their food. Preparing food with fresh ingredients on a daily basis it is an opportunity to develop your skills within the kitchen. We offer great rates of pay and guaranteed weekly cash tips. Own transport recommended. Previous experience in the role required.

Owned by brothers Chris and James Tanner the Kentish Hare holds various accolades including two AA Rosettes, Muddy Stiletto winner for best destination pub and was awarded with a Bib Gourmand by the highly respected Michelin guide in 2021. The Kentish Hare is open Wednesday to Sunday offering food throughout the pub. Lunch is available from 12pm-2:30pm Wednesday to Saturday and 12pm-4pm on Sundays. Dinner is available Wednesday to Saturday from 5:45pm-9:30pm.

The prep chef will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting in the kitchen staff's daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, as well as strong culinary skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation of food as required by the Head Chef Ensure that all food is prepared to The Kentish Hare standards Ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned and maintained Maintain sanitation standards at all times Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained Set up and tear down workstations as needed Perform daily inspections of kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure proper functioning Work with other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations Assist in maintaining a positive work environment for staff and guests Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management team

Experience:



At least 1 years' experience in kitchens. Experience with cooking with induction hobs, Rational ovens and Big Green Eggs.
