We now have an amazing opportunity for the right person to join PS Catering during a period of exceptional growth. This role is to join us and learn our processes, systems and expectations. This way you will be in a a perfect position to assist us when our next opportunity arises and be able to hit the ground running. We are looking for someone who has a passion for food - delivering colourful, flavoursome, nutritious, healthy food to pupils, and making lunchtimes fun!

As a Chef Manager you will get to work with our enthusiastic team members who have thrived with the changes that have been introduced. This is a hands on role and the right candidate will need to be a great chef, a leader, organiser, team player, and a H&S manager. You will take responsibility for the day to day running of all aspects of a school kitchen and be focused on delivering the highest quality service whilst managing your time to make sure everything gets done.

You will be supported in this role by the Senior team including the Directors and the Company Development Chef. Whilst the paperwork and systems are an important part of the role we have worked to minimise the input required so you can spend the maximum amount of time with the team making and delivering amazing food!

Requirements

City & Guild's / NVQ qualifications or suitable company in-house training Previous experience as a chef, including holding supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 2 years Understanding of Food Hygiene and Safety or above Successful progressive background in contract catering (preferred) Management of medium size kitchen (preferred) Happy, outgoing with a positive attitude to work and the team around them.

We are looking for a candidate to start As Soon As Possible so we can start their training and induction process to make sure they succeed in their new role.
