Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, food storage, and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
Monitor portion control and presentation to maintain high standards of quality.
Assist in managing kitchen supplies, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available for daily operations.
Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and best practices in food safety.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
Passion for cooking with an understanding of various cuisines and dietary requirements.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers alike.
