Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, demonstrating expertise in creating high-quality dishes while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met. This role requires a blend of culinary creativity, leadership skills, and a commitment to hospitality, making it essential for the Chef to inspire and supervise the kitchen staff effectively.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Develop new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor food presentation and quality to ensure consistency and excellence. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills



Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines with a strong culinary background. Excellent team management skills, capable of leading and motivating kitchen staff. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture. Experience in supervising kitchen operations within a restaurant setting. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
