We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef experienced in making European food to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while managing kitchen operations efficiently.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established European recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team management.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Monitor the quality of dishes before they are served, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant's standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
Passion for cooking with creativity in menu development and presentation.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
