The menu is varied with all food cooked from scratch so a good understanding of food and trends is essential, along with a high expectation for food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety as well as loving leading a team.The role would cover proactive management of kitchen team consisting of an assistant cook and front of house supervisor who manages the FOH team of 3.You would be supported by the back of house team who manage the finance and placing the orders as well as a fulltime Assistant GM and part time GM.You would be accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget. Innovative menu planning within specified budgets ensuring high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control.As well as managing COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environment policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues within the cafeIdeally you would be someone with previous catering experience within a similar food quality environment either a large school or college or wanting to have a work life balance and have relevant qualificationsWeeks Worked & BenefitsThe Role is for 39 weeks a year with 5 weeks holiday pay which is 195 working days.
