Our Kitchen Team is the magic behind each delicious dish we serve our guests. They are passionate about all things food and take great pride in each dish they prepare.Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook dishes to established standards.
  • Manage a specific kitchen section efficiently.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Monitor and maintain ingredient stock levels.
  • Coordinate with kitchen team for smooth service.
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team.
  • Handle challenges during service effectively.
Based in The View Hotel Eastbourne you will be part of a team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn\'t always mean working around the clock.This role is being offered on a 35 hour per week annualised hours contract, working 5 days out of 7 per week.   • Skills: Proficient in food preparation techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods. Attention to detail and a passion for food are essential.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the job.
  • Creativity: Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development and improvement.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy pots and pans.
