About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen, based at our brand new, state-of-the art factory in Barton-Upon-Humber. The position is Monday to Friday, 05:30 - 14:00.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide a catering service to all Wren employees
- Serving and handling of food in the canteen
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
- Employ food safety best practices and make sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
- Keep the workstation tidy, including clearing down at the end of the shift, washing up and good observation of cleanliness
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Catering experience is essential
- Experience cooking with fresh produce is essential
- Good cooking and communication skills
- Strong interest and knowledge of food
- Customer service experience
- Ability to cover other members of staff due to holidays, sickness etc.
