Their Planning and Development team\'s objective is to assist landowners, farmers, and rural communities in realising the full potential of their assets and helping to deliver the nation\'s housing targets, all while playing a crucial role in preserving the region\'s rural heritage.
About the Job
As a Chartered Rural Surveyor in our clients Planning and Development team, you\'ll play a key role in shaping the future of the East Midlands\' rural landscape. Advising their valued clients on land and property development opportunities, planning processes, land use assessments, and development feasibility studies will be a huge part of your role, alongside the management and oversight of planning applications, ensuring compliance with local authorities\' regulations and guidelines.
Ideally, you\'ll be able to conduct valuations and appraisals of rural properties, land, and development sites, and you\'ll be heavily involved in negotiating and securing land and property acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements. Building on the strong relationships our client has already forged with clients, local authorities, and development stakeholders will be a key priority, as well as business development to bring new clients on board.
The Ideal Candidate
You\'ll be an MRICS qualified chartered rural surveyor with a proven track record in rural consultancy. Registered Valuer status would be beneficial. Whilst previous expertise in planning and development isn\'t essential, a desire to work in the area is and you\'ll need a good understanding of planning and development regulations, policies, and practices. A commitment to preserving and enhancing the rural landscape of the region and a desire to enable their clients to realise the potential their assets hold is essential. You\'ll need strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills and an outstanding attention to detail whilst providing expert advice on complex rural property matters.
