My client is looking for Chartered Engineer with at least 3 years post chartership relevant experience.Attributes for Role

xc2xb7Ability to exercise engineering judgement and make independent decisions.Principal Duties
xc2xb7Management...of projects, and the staff assigned to the project.
xc2xb7Resourcing and Work Planning...assist Director to coordinate information on a weekly basis.
xc2xb7Design....prepare design calculations as required following the procedure and methods laid out in ISO 9001 Manual and be aware of SER procedures
xc2xb7Training....take responsibility for your own training and personal development.
xc2xb7Health & Safety....ensure you are aware of the risks associated with visits to construction sites, unoccupied buildings etc. Prepare project risk assessments and residual risk identification when required, defining and maintaining quality safety standards.
xc2xb7Commercial Awareness...understand the need for projects to be profitable and take responsibility for monitoring the fee on jobs you are responsible for. Support with Prepare fee quotations and fee claims when required where scope of work has changed or additional services have been instructed.General Duties
xc2xb7Assist the Director in the weekly workload review
xc2xb7To carry out structural design work, inspections and reports when required.
xc2xb7Communicate effectively either verbally or by preparing letters and reports as required.
xc2xb7Monitor financial performance of projects
xc2xb7Maintain continuing professional development and to keep abreast of technical developments and legislation.
xc2xb7Help the company to be profitable and raise profile with external Clients.
xc2xb7Report to Director on all technical and welfare issues as necessary.
xc2xb7Work individually and as a project team member efficiently, professionally and in a helpful manner.
xc2xb7Assist in the training and development of junior technical staff.Personal Qualities
