Job Description
Reminiscence Learning is a regional and national multi award winning registered charity (registered charity number 1105488) based in Wellington Somerset specialising in dementia care, activity and reminiscence. The charity has been successful with The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund to promote dementia awareness in the community. The Statistician will have a key role in analysing and presenting data, promoting the projects aims and achievements.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Design surveys and other statistical methodology for collecting data. Liaise with members of the community to identify baseline needs and gaps in provision that the charity can then endeavour to meet. Work closely with the Project Team in order to collate data/information. Attend project meetings. Analyse trends and produce ongoing reports for the Board. Produce project reports and evaluations. Produce project data and spreadsheets as per individual funding streams.
Person Specification
Knowledge and skills
Essential
Analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of software and statistical concepts e.g. sampling
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of the effects of dementia on the individual and families/carers
Experience
Data collection and analysis including applying and using statistical methodologies
Evidence of producing clear and accurate statistical report
