WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SHOP MANAGER TO MANAGE OUR WELLINGTON RSPCA CHARITY SHOP (Tuesday-Saturday 30 hours/week initially on a 10 month temporary contract with the potential for extended employment options for the right candidate)
The RSPCA South West Somerset Branch works to improve the welfare of animals in our local area and provides significant help with the cost of veterinary treatment for those on low income.
Our charity shops play a vital part in generating the income to allow us to continue with our welfare work but the events of the past few years have had a significant impact upon us and we are now looking for highly motivated individual who is keen to take on the challenge of working within the charity retail sector full-time based at our Charity Shop in Wellington. Flexibility and the ability to travel to other shops in our branch area will be required for training and absence cover.
The successful candidate will be able to fulfil the following job description:-
Overall day-to-day responsibility for the premises, ensuring compliance to the highest standards in health and safety, tidiness, cleanliness, and organisation
Accountable for the effective management of staff, volunteers, premises, stock, resources and administration.
Maximising sales and minimising costs in order to support the charitable work of our local branch.
Motivating and training volunteers to a high standard, creating a good team spirit.
Be proactive in recruiting and training volunteers and promoting Branch and Society initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness of the charity.
Responsible for the financial management and the opening and closing of the shop.
Responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service
Presenting a professional image to staff, volunteers and customers at all times reflecting the image of the RSPCA
Ensuring the shop, shop window and store area is kept clean, well presented and clear of obstructions.
The hours for full-time will be between 09:30 -16:30 Tuesday to Saturday
