The Opportunity

This Chapter Lead - Advanced Battery and Safety is designed to give you the opportunity to take forward our next generation cell stack designs delivering electrical, mechanical and thermal solutions to meet performance, safety and durability requirements. This role offers exposure to career development and to use latest technologies within Powertrain.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will have the opportunity to work with the battery chapter teams to deliver optimised solutions for the following:

• Welding - materials and process for busbars, sensors, assemblies etc.
• Adhesives - structural and thermal
• Electrical efficiency - busbar resistance
• Cooling - optimum thermal path and efficiency
• Cell mechanical constraint for shock, vibration and lifetime
• Safety - HV isolation, thermal runaway management

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

We would love to hear from you if you have knowledge and technical expertise in:

• Welding - materials and process design
• Adhesives - selection for application Cell construction and integration
• Safety - Isolation, creepage, clearance and thermal runaway
• Proven ability to deliver complex research into new technologies and manufacturing systems and tools
• Ability to effectively explain complex ideas, confidently presenting these to senior stakeholders
• Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
