Main Purpose of Role
We are looking for a proactive and well-rounded Channel Marketing Manager with hands-on experience across the full marketing mix in the B2B environment to lead and manage marketing strategy for our trade and distribution channel across the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this key role will focus on driving growth and expanding market presence within the electrical wholesale and plumbers merchant sectors, targeting both social and private landlords as well as electricians and contractors involved in specification, purchase, and installation of Dimplex products.
As the Channel Marketing Manager, you will also take charge of managing the Dimplex PRO Installer Club loyalty programme, ensuring that it delivers value to installers and contributes to increasing product sales. Additionally, you will drive the PR strategy for the trade channel, maximising opportunities to enhance brand visibility and market position.
This role is a mix of strategic planning and execution, with responsibility for both long-term marketing strategies and day-to-day tactical activities. You will work closely with our sales, product, technical and customer experience teams, as well as the broader marketing department to create opportunities, engage customers, and enhance brand presence in the market.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the electrical wholesale and plumbers merchant market segments.
Lead the growth phase of our Dimplex PRO Installer Club loyalty scheme, building our relationship with skilled electricians and driving engagement.
Ensure collaboration with key business areas to identify and capitalise on new opportunities, and ensure an integrated and aligned marketing function which supports the needs of the business.
Drive the PR strategy for the trade channel, identifying and maximising PR opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Develop and create marketing collateral to support promotional efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.
Manage and optimise the marketing budget, ensuring maximum return on investment for all marketing activities for the channel.
Drive brand awareness and engagement for Dimplex and Xpelair, ensuring consistency in messaging and positioning across all marketing channels.
Develop and execute promotional campaigns that support product sales and engage customers effectively within the target markets.
Work with internal stakeholders to track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of KPIs.
Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and partners as needed to support marketing efforts.
Stay up to date with developments in the decarbonisation sector, particularly within the heating, ventilation, and water heating industries, to leverage relevant trends in marketing strategies.
Contribute to company growth and development by undertaking further ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Proven B2B marketing experience spanning the full marketing mix.
Excellent strategic thinking and hands-on marketing experience, including both online and offline channels.
Experience in managing or supporting loyalty programmes in a B2B or trade-focused environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with sales and product teams and cross-functional departments to achieve shared goals.
Budget management skills for the prioritisation of resource.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive messaging for varied audiences.
Experience in driving PR strategies and generation of content.
Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. Interpersonal and influencing skills are critical.
Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
Strong experience in managing external agencies and partners to deliver campaign objectives.
Desirable Criteria
A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Understanding of trade marketing, particularly within the electrical wholesale or related sectors.
Previous experience within the heating, ventilation, or water heating industries.
A passion for sustainability and knowledge of decarbonisation and energy efficiency trends in the UK.
Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
Travel
You may occasionally be required to travel across the UK to visit customers and attend events.
