MTS was founded by James McConnachie who has 12 years experience in Vehicle CCTV working for one of the UKs largest integrators. James has experience in training engineers, writing documentation and designing CCTV Systems.
The Role:
MTS are seeking a CCTV Installation Engineer to join our growing team. The engineer would be based in the North West area. Experience of IP CCTV or working on buses & coaches is desirable although full training will be provided.
The engineer must be willing to travel and work 12-14 hour shifts depending on location which may include night shifts where required to suit business needs. Normal working weeks are Monday to Thursday, with the option to work additional hours Friday - Sunday at an agreed overtime rate.
Tools will be provided along with a company vehicle where required.
Key responsibilities include:
Terminating CAT5 cables
Installing Cameras, DVRs, NVRs, monitors, antennas and auxiliary equipment to a variety of buses and coaches.
Running cables in vehicles.
Terminating power and signal connections to the vehicle infrastructure.
Installing handbrake warning systems
Installing telematics systems
Upgrading existing onboard systems
The Person:
The engineer will be competent with a variety of hand tools, drills, impact drivers, soldering irons and ladders.
The engineer must be willing to travel and may be required to stay away from home in accommodation provided by MTS.
The engineer will be able to work well in a two-person team and on their own.
The engineer will be able to record their work and capture evidence as required by the customer.
The engineer will be capable of using a laptop to configure equipment.
The engineer will either have a working knowledge of IP networking or will have a desire to learn.
This role would suit an engineer that has working knowledge of CCTV or has installed telematics systems to vehicles although all training will be provided.
The Benefits:
12.80 - 14.08 per hour depending on experience.
50 hour working week based over Monday to Thursday.
Additional overtime rate available for Friday - Sunday work.
