Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed individual to join a very busy Catering Department.



Based at Withybush Hospital you will have the responsibility for providing front line supervision support to all catering staff involved in food service and food production for staff, visitors and patients.



This is an evening post working from 5pm to 8pm, 15.0 hours per week over 5 days per week.



Applicants will preferably have some supervisory qualifications or a proven track record of supervising staff groups.



Due to the nature of the job, a professional cooking background is desirable ( but not essential ) for this role in order to be able to provide patient feeding and retail dishes.



Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills together with a flexible approach to the needs of the service are essential.



Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Amman Valley Hospital and Llandovery Hospital in Carmarthenshire, Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire.



Two integrated care centres (Aberaeron and Cardigan, Ceredigion).

Community facilities, including:

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.



Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
