Role Summary


Due to continued expansion and growth CLR are looking for pro-active, dynamic and hard-working experienced catering engineers to support our operations from our Grampian, Highlands and Central bases covering all of Scotland.

Our highly skilled engineers and technical support staff have extensive experience in repairing, servicing and installing commercial catering equipment with our team ranging from Apprentices to Engineers and Managers with 30+ years experience.

Responsibilities



As part of a team or individually undertake the following:

Installation of commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment Service of commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment Repair of commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment Fault finding on commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment Liaison with the Service Manager at all times striving to ensure that works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification. To communicate effectively and efficiently with product manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the correct parts are identified whilst on site. Identification and resolution of repair, maintenance and installation issues that may affect programme delivery. Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Attributes



An engineer who is technically competent in their field ensuring they undertake work safely and to a high standard. Ensure good communication with all stakeholders including, but not limited to:- Customers, fellow engineers, office staff, the management team, manufacturers & suppliers. Ensure your appearance and van are clean, tidy and presentable. Be flexible in respect of access times, being mindful of client staff who may work in the locations we work in. Efficient with computer/ tablet devices. Hard work and consistency, always giving maximum effort. Look for opportunities to challenge your knowledge and experience. Have a willingness to learn but also know when to ask for help and support from the team. Providing cross training across the business in the areas you are competent, including future apprentices. Confident with all aspects of Health and Safety including manual handling.

Qualifications/Experience



The successful candidate must have similar engineering experience in the commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration industry. Proven track record in catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment appliance breakdowns (gas & electrical) and associated reactive works. Ideally experience of working on commercial catering, laundry & refrigeration equipment for leading manufacturers. Hold 18th Edition Electrical qualification or similar. Hold relevant commercial gas qualifications:- CCCN1, CCLNG1, CKR1, CLE1, COMCAT1, COMCAT3, COMCAT5, CONGLP1PD, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A Hold F-Gas 2079 or similar. Effective communication skills to build relationships at all levels both with colleagues and customers. Hold a full clean UK driving license.

Benefits



Full time, permanent post: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Competitive salary, depending on experience. Training can be provided in catering, laundry or refrigeration to develop into a Multi-Skilled Engineer. 28 days a year holidays + discretional days including birthday day off. Pay: 28,000.00-45,000.00 per year
