Then we could have just the role for you. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough.
We are a busy kitchen and cafe and we also serve food to bedside patients so the ideal applicant will be friendly, caring and empathetic and used to working fast paced environment. Ideally you will have catering experience but training will be provided to those willing to learn.
This is a Bank role cover sickness and holidays, shifts could be from Monday -Sunday with the earliest start time of 7:30 and the latest finish time 18:30 depending on the shift you are covering

What you'll be doing
You will be an integral part of a passionate team helping to provide meals for our patients and to insure they feel that they are receiving a high quality experience.
Providing an efficient, high quality dedicated food and beverage service. The post holder must operate in line with clearly defined standards and in compliance with policies and procedures.
You will be involved in all aspects of food and beverage service to patients at all times whilst on duty.
You will need to inform staff of any patient who has refused or not eaten much of their meal for onward management.
You will act on any patient dietary requests for additional/alternative food or beverages requirements reporting any to onward management and also report any patient dissatisfaction regarding catering service to the onward management.
Probing and recording food temperatures.
Recording of equipment temperatures.

What we'll look for in you
As a member of the catering team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient, high quality dedicated food and beverage service, operating in compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures.
Must be familiar with health code standards for food preparation and presentation.
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills for working with the general public.
Must be a team player and willing to take on additional tasks to get the job done.
Be Familiar with a variety of food types, menus, recipes, and food presentation.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work in high pressure situations.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Enjoy working at a fast pace and within a team environment
A Basic Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards
Have experience working within a similar role
