The role

The Retail Category Manager position is available for a 12 Month FTC maternity cover. This role is responsible for creating and executing the retail Category plan to maximise retail revenue across the airport, whilst delivering against agreed business plans. This will involve negotiating, tendering, managing and maximising partner contracts, tracking performance and KPIs to deliver business critical revenue and desired customer experience. There will also be opportunity here to identify new commercial opportunities to enhance Stansted\'s retail income and help to shape the retail strategy for new opportunities as part of our exciting terminal expansion!

What will make you successful in the role?

To be successful as the Retail Category Manager, having previously worked in a contractual/commercial function with a wealth of contractual terms and conditions knowledge is highly desirable. Sharp commercial acumen and an advanced ability to grasp detail quickly will be essential to understand what actions are going to make a positive difference to performance and overall \'big picture\' strategy. The ability to manage income/costs and risks effectively, identify and enact opportunities to increase/reduce income/cost whilst maintaining best outcome, approach and timely delivery is also necessary for this position.
