Carpet Cutter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting materials to specified dimensions and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the process. This role is crucial in supporting our sales team and requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and adherence to safety protocols. The successful candidate will also be trained in all aspects of carpet and wood flooring to become a well rounded member of the sales team.

Duties

Operate cutting tools safely and efficiently. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine cutting requirements. Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet the required standards. Maintain equipment by performing regular checks and basic maintenance. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and production efficiency. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the production area.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail with excellent measuring skills. Ability to operate cutting tools safely and effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift materials as required. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
