Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and a passion for building and construction. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the ability to work with various materials to fabricate structures and fixtures. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications. Perform roofing tasks including installation of shingles or other roofing materials. Carry out masonry work as required for various projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure timely completion of projects. Assist in heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter with a solid understanding of carpentry techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and drills. Experience with power tools including nail guns, sanders, and routers. Knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
