An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust for a Care of the Elderly Clinical Teaching Fellow (ST Grade) in Medical Education based in Weston General Hospital (North Somerset Academy). This post is 8 sessions teaching and 2 sessions clinical, based in Care of the Elderly. It is available for one year commencing 6 August 2025. The post offers the opportunity to become intensively involved in the education of medical students whilst maintaining clinical exposure and experience in a supportive educational environment. This post is suitable for those who have just completed their Foundation Programme training as well as those who have undertaken ST1-2 training. You will be joining a wider team of Clinical Teaching Fellows in North Somerset Academy as well as in other Academies, to become part of a faculty that has the specific remit of teaching medical students.Main duties of the jobThe prime function of the post is as a teacher delivering core content and providing tutoring and pastoral support for Medical Students in year 4 (Complex medicine in older people unit) of the Undergraduate curriculum of the University of Bristol.
