Care Navigator / Medical Receptionist
Job Summary
Due to an internal reconfiguration within the practice, we are looking for a Care Navigator to support our current team. We are a busy, well established, friendly and forward thinking Practice who is committed to a high level of quality care and the continued development of our staff.
The successful candidate will be working with the public face to face and over the telephone to provide a high level of care and customer service to patients by booking appointments, dealing with general enquiries and navigating to appropriate services. Candidates will also provide administrative support to clinical colleagues.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent typing, good communication skills, strong organisational, clerical and IT skills, a sympathetic manner discretion and the ability to deal with sensitive medical information. They will need to be able to work using their own initiative while also working well as a team member. The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous but not essential.

The post is for 37 hours per week over four full days, working between the hours of 8 am - 6.30 pm. Your annual leave will start at 25 days per annum pro-rata, increasing to 27 days per annum pro-rata after 5 full years' service, PLUS an additional 8 bank holidays pro-rata per annum and inclusion into the NHS Pension Scheme.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Previous customer service experience is essential and primary care experience would be advantageous, though not essential, as full in-house training will be provided for the successful candidate. Additionally, further external training will be given as and when deemed appropriate and available. Good customer service and computer skills are required and front-facing experience working with the public is essential.
