Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Your ability to communicate effectively and your commitment to high-quality care will be vital in making a difference in the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, promoting nutritional health. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during travel. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care setting or home.

Experience

Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for those who may need to transport clients. Experience working in a home care or care home environment is an asset but not mandatory.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
