Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a drive to help others, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Follow care plans as directed, ensuring that all needs of the clients are met consistently. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to drive is advantageous for those providing home care services. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
