Health Care Assistant - Days

We require an experienced full time care assistant for our highly regarded care home in North Berwick. The home is well established with good Care Inspectorate grades, and has great links within the local community.

We are looking for someone who can deliver all aspects of personal care to residents including washing, bathing, assisted feeding, toileting etc., but who also has the desire to make a valuable contribution to enrich the lives of our residents and become part of a committed and caring community

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and communicate effectively with team members. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home, adhering to health and safety regulation

Requirements

Familiarity with care home environments and care plans Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and their families Basic IT skills for documenting and reporting care activities Ability to work with empathy, patience, and compassion in a care home setting

You will be required to undergo a PVG membership (Disclosure Scotland) check
