Care Assistant (Female only)

Prestbury, Cheltenham

Hours:

36 - 48 hours per week (Days or Nights)

Shifts

: 12 hours

Pay:

14.65 per hour.

Driving Requirements:

A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the person we support's vehicle.

DBS Check

: This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, which will be provided by Prosperity Care & Wellbeing.

About the Role:

You'll be part of a small team providing 2:1 care The person we support uses a wheelchair and hoist for all mobility and requires full support with feeding due to limited use of her hands. She also has two much-loved cats, so it's essential that you're comfortable around animals and happy to help care for them, this includes feeding, cleaning litter trays, and giving them lots of love and attention. She owns a manual vehicle, so you must be a confident driver with a full UK manual licence.

Who We're Looking For:

Someone caring, patient, and dependable A genuine animal love - especially cats! Experience in complex care (including hoists and mobility aids) is ideal Must be female (Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010) Must be 21 or older Must have a full UK manual driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care

: Assist with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.

Feeding & Medication

: Support with feeding due to limited hand mobility and ensure medication is taken on time (every two hours).

Mobility Assistance

: Use of hoists and other mobility aids to support the person we support's mobility and movement.

Household Tasks

: Carry out cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

Cooking

: Prepare meals, adhering to any dietary requirements.

Cat Care

: Feed and care for the 's two cats, including cleaning their litter trays and providing companionship.

Hospital & GP Appointments

: Accompany the person we support to medical appointments as needed.

Emotional & Practical Support

: Provide companionship and support to promote the person we support's emotional well-being.

Teamwork

: Work as part of a close-knit team to ensure the person we support's needs are consistently met.
