We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting. You will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding.
Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of care plans and document any changes in the residents' conditions.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to provide updates on care needs.
Participate in the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Requirements
Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and team members.
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel to clients' homes.
Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining electronic records and communication.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is important.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
