We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others, making a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional health. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track residents' progress and needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for residents. Uphold hygiene standards within the care environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.

Skills

Proficient in English to communicate clearly with residents and colleagues. Ability to drive is advantageous for providing transport or running errands as needed. Basic IT skills for maintaining care plans and documentation electronically. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families. A compassionate attitude towards providing support to those in need.
