Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals through a home care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation as required. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is provided. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Foster a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Ability to drive is essential. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. A caring disposition with a genuine passion for helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service. Must be able to work every other weekend.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
