This role will involve the practitioner working within the team in a busy Cardiology department providing a range of complex cardiology investigations and producing detailed and evidence based clinical reports.The post holder will perform a range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations according to grade and within scope of training.The post would suit a newly or recently qualified Cardiac Physiologist/PTP looking for a springboard to further their career. Ensuring a flexible and responsible service, which is based on an individualised approach to patients, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.Act in accordance with Trust health and safety policy ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Report any untoward incidents as set out in the Trust policies and procedures. Participate in out of hours and weekend working as required to ensure safe and equitable service delivery to our patients.Able to liaise closely with patients, including those with whom it may be difficult to communicate, and with their carers, explaining procedures and results as appropriate.The post holder will be required to deal with some patients who are acutely unwell and /or distressed.
