Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand tools and power tools to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles. This role requires excellent customer service skills as you will interact with clients to understand their vehicle issues and provide effective solutions.

Duties

- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assemble components according to schematics and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and installations.
- Conduct equipment repairs and ensure all machinery is in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Assist in heavy lifting when required during the repair process.
- Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for assembly and repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
- A valid driver's licence is essential for this position.
- Relevant certifications in automotive technology or mechanics would be advantageous but not mandatory.
