We are looking for individuals to play a key role in training, testing and exercise to support Police Officers and staff in major incidents within South Wales Police and neighbouring Police Forces.

About the team/Department you will be joining:



The Capability Assurance Team Leader takes responsibility for a small team of Capability Assurance Team Assistants The team works as part of Force Planning Department at Unit 3, Bridgend Industrial Estate, Bridgend The office hours are between 0800hrs and 1800hrs; Monday to Friday

About the role and your key responsibilities:



To provide training, testing and exercise for South Wales Police Commanders and operational staff. The team are responsible for delivering presentations to key stake holders To improve the application of Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) and ensure South Wales Police major incident plans are fully tested and exercised.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:



Must have experience as an emergency responder and or have experience as part of a multi-agency response to an emergency. Must have or complete within 3 months COP Training Essentials Programme (TEP) or equivalent. Must have or be willing to undertake Multi Agency Resilience and Training & Exercise training Must have or be willing to undertake training at the Emergency Planning College - 'Starting out in Civil Contingencies'. Must have or willing to undertake 4x4 off-road training, trailer training and basic police driving standards
