We are looking for a Campus Technical & Facilities Assistant to join our busy Campus Facilities Team within the Holyrood campus. You will be organised, polite and personable and work under the supervision of the Campus Facilities Manager. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role. A basic qualification related to health & safety and a knowledge of Information Technology, Audio Visual equipment as well as technical understanding of supporting practical subjects would be an advantage.
The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh Holyrood campus is the base for the Moray House School of Education and Sport and the Centre for Opening Learning. We are seeking a Technical & Facilities Assistant to join our Campus Facilities Team us on a temporary basis to cover a secondment. You will provide day-to-day operational support for matters relating to estates and buildings, health & safety, facilities and security for the campus, as well as manage the day-to-day technical support for COL Art & design programmes. With a customer focus, you will support and enhance the experience of staff and students as they encounter the facilities on campus. Excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills are therefore essential for this role. You will be organised, polite and personable, able to plan your own workload effectively and to supervise the workload of others. Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role. A basic qualification related to health & safety and a knowledge of I.T. and A.V. equipment would also be an advantage.
