About the Role
As Cafe Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring every customer has a warm, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. But this role is about more than coffee -- you'll also be playing a key part in helping vulnerable adults gain valuable employability skills, grow in confidence, and participate more fully in their local community.
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee the smooth running of the cafe, ensuring high standards in service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with support staff, social workers, families, and service users to support the overall mission of the organisation.
Train and support service users and new staff, fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Manage stock, equipment, rotas, and maintenance schedules effectively.
Handle customer concerns with professionalism and care.
Promote health & safety, safeguarding, and quality assurance at all times.
Lead team meetings, conduct appraisals, and complete relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
Encourage service users to build confidence and independence by taking part in meaningful work and community activities.
Keep up to date with all food related regulations etc
What We're Looking For
A passion for hospitality, community, and inclusion.
Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a cafe or hospitality environment.
Excellent communication and people skills - you're approachable, patient, and supportive.
Knowledge of or interest in supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
A commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and respect for all.
Flexibility and willingness to undertake additional reasonable duties as required.
Experience in baking homemade cakes etc.
